Concert Iordache – Sorin Romanescu – Tavi Scurtu
The trio, Iordache – Sorin Romanescu – Tavi Scurtu appeared as an offshoot of various duo/trio/quartet combinations that they were part of during the last twenty years.
I, Iordache, am well-known in Romania for my atypical playing style and my idiosyncratic compositions. I started off as the leader of a modern jazz trio, had a few years stint as the main songwriter and sax player for punk rock band Sarmalele reci, went on to play with Sorin Romanescu, pianist Harry Tavitian and many others before started my own funk jazz band, Iordache, in 2003 and joining rock band Kumm later that year.
