Andreea-Eliza Petrov is an artist born in Bucharest on July 14, 1999. She graduated from UNArte (National University of Arts, Bucharest), Painting Department, both at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level. Throughout her artistic journey of over 16 years, she has received multiple national and international awards in art competitions, merit scholarships during art high school, bachelor’s, and master’s studies, as well as participation in solo and group exhibitions, international cultural-artistic exchanges, and creative residencies.
In her art practice, she is fascinated by the links between visual art forms, by their boundaries and overlaps, and likes to pick a subject and take it deep. Her favorite themes revolve around alchemy, consumer culture critique and metaphysics. She likes to experiment with different materials, textures and medias, maintaining a balance between playful experimentation and more serious works engaging with deep themes.
