I explore the expressiveness of textiles through weaving, collage, and installation techniques, emphasizing materiality as a powerful visual language. I work with simple, almost ordinary materials that, for me, can become points of connection between the past, the present, and what remains hidden in memory.
My artistic practice focuses on themes such as identity, transformation, and memory, seeking a raw visual impact so that the works can speak on my behalf, without the need for explanations.
This is where my favorite part comes in: the invitation for the viewer to enter into a dialogue, to feel the tension between what I choose to reveal and what I choose to conceal.
Currently, I express myself mainly through installations and tapestry works, as I have grown to love working with threads and materials of all kinds. There are fewer and fewer people who still practice this craft and take on such a meticulous and demanding process. For me, this makes these works a form of resistance and continuity, a way to carry forward an almost forgotten tradition.
I continue to exhibit in various spaces in Romania and abroad, in projects that bring to the forefront new directions in contemporary textile art and beyond.
