My name is Andra Victoria Popescu, and I graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest; I am currently in my first year of master’s studies. I am a painter by training and also hold a degree in decorative arts. My creative universe unfolds through my own consciousness, where I signal meaningful — sometimes cyclical — moments and face challenges in the pursuit of “balance with oneself.”
The works I create are, for me, fragments of memory where I allow myself to be overwhelmed by the feelings I have managed to understand and perceive — both about the world around me and my own inner world. The art I make is versatile like air, fluid like water; it is both light and darkness. In contemplating it, you may discover all the sensations that life itself carries.
