Deidre Denise Matthee is a South African Portuguese artist, writer, and creative facilitator based at Malmaison Studios in Bucharest. Her diverse artistic background includes narrative and expressive arts therapy; feminist performance art and activism; applied and immersive theatre; and conceptual art. Since 2020, her focus has been on analog collage, assemblage, and mixed media art, inspired by her appreciation of poetic composition and the textured, storied nature of salvaged material.
